Let’s Read!
Smartphones used to be just for calling and texting. Now, they are like mini-computers! Laptops have gotten smaller and lighter. We can even talk to some devices now to turn on lights or change the temperature. Technology is changing fast!
Think About the Future!
Imagine it’s 20 years from now. How do you think these devices will be different? Will we have new devices? Share your ideas with a partner.
Talk with a Partner!
One of you is a tech expert. The other is a customer who wants to buy a new device. The expert asks questions to find out what the customer needs and suggests the best device for them.
Example:
- Tech Expert: “What do you want to use the device for mostly?”
- Customer: “I want to watch movies and play games.”
- Tech Expert: “A tablet might be a good choice for you. It’s easy to carry and has a big screen.”
Homework:
Write a few sentences about how technology helps you in your daily life.
Extra Fun:
Draw a picture of your dream device. What would it do? How would it look?
