- Can you name some famous actors?
Let’s Read!
There are many different types of movies and shows! Some movies make you laugh, some make you cry, and some take you to different worlds. One type of movie that is very popular is science fiction (sci-fi). These movies often have special effects that make amazing things look real, like spaceships and aliens.
Listen and Learn!
(Teacher plays a short clip of a director talking about making their latest movie. Focus on how they describe the story, the characters, and any special effects they used.)
Talk with a Partner!
One of you is a film critic. The other just saw a new movie. The critic asks for a review.
Example:
- Critic: “So, tell me about the movie you saw. What was it like?”
- Moviegoer: “It was amazing! It was a sci-fi movie with really cool special effects. The story was exciting, and I loved the actors.”
Homework:
Think of your favorite movie or TV show. Write a short review (3-5 sentences). What is it about? What genre is it? Why do you recommend it?
Extra Fun:
If you can, watch a short clip from a movie with special effects. Can you tell what was real and what was made with special effects?
