Let’s Read!
The Earth has seven continents: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. Each continent has different kinds of animals, plants, and weather. The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean, and it’s home to many different sea creatures.
Listen and Learn!
(Teacher plays a short clip of a person describing interesting places around the world, mentioning continents and oceans. Focus on clear pronunciation of new words.)
Talk with a Partner!
One of you is a traveler. The other is a travel agent. The traveler asks about different places to visit, and the travel agent suggests continents and oceans with interesting things to see.
Example:
- Traveler: “I want to see a rainforest. Where should I go?”
- Travel Agent: “You could go to South America and visit the Amazon rainforest!”
Homework:
Imagine you can visit any place in the world. Write a short paragraph about where you would go and what you would do there.
Extra Fun:
Look online for pictures of different continents and oceans. Create a collage or a map showing the different places.
