The world is a big place with many different countries. Each country has its own special things to see and do. Paris, the capital of France, is famous for its art and delicious food. Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is known for its technology and busy city life. Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, is a starting point for exciting safaris to see wild animals in Africa.

Talk with a Partner!
You and your partner are planning a trip around the world. Take turns choosing a country you want to visit and explain why.
Example:
- Student 1: “I want to visit Egypt. I want to see the pyramids!”
- Student 2: “That sounds amazing! I want to visit Australia and see the Great Barrier Reef.”
Homework:
Write a paragraph about a country you’d like to visit. What is the country? What is the capital? What would you like to see or do there?
Extra Fun:
If you can, find a world map or globe. Try to point out some of the countries and capitals we talked about today!
