We’ll practice describing our ideal careers, the skills required, and the steps we can take to achieve our goals. Get ready to interview for your dream job and envision your future success!

Dream Job Description

1. What’s Your Passion?

   • Take a moment to reflect on your interests, skills, and values. What kind of work would make you feel fulfilled and happy?
   • Research different career options that align with your passions.

2. Drafting Your Description:

   • Write a detailed description of your dream job. Consider the following:
     • Job Title: What would you call your dream job?
     • Responsibilities: What tasks and duties would you perform?
     • Skills and Qualifications: What skills and knowledge would you need?
     • Work Environment: Where would you work (office, outdoors, etc.)?
     • Impact: How would your work contribute to society or your community?
     • Why: Explain why this job appeals to you and how it aligns with your values and goals.
   • Example:
     • My dream job is to be a marine biologist. I would study marine life, conduct research, and educate people about the importance of ocean conservation. This job appeals to me because I love animals and the ocean, and I want to make a positive impact on the environment.

Interviewing for Your Dream Job

1. Partner Up:

   • Find a partner and exchange your dream job descriptions.
   • One person will be the interviewer, and the other will be the interviewee.

2. Interviewer’s Toolkit:

   • Review your partner’s dream job description and prepare questions to ask them during the interview.
   • Example Questions:
     • “Why are you interested in this job?”
     • “What skills and experience do you have that make you a good fit for this position?”
     • “How do you see yourself contributing to our company?”
     • “Where do you see yourself in five years?”

3. Interviewee’s Tips:

   • Be prepared to answer common interview questions about your skills, experience, and career goals.
   • Practice speaking clearly and confidently.
   • Maintain eye contact and show enthusiasm for the job.

Feedback and Reflection

After the role-play, provide feedback to your partner on their interview performance. Consider:
