Listen and Learn!
(Teacher plays a short conversation between a customer and an online store’s customer service.)
Talk with a Partner!
One of you is a customer with a problem with an online order. The other is the customer service person. Practice asking for help and offering solutions.
Example:
- Customer: “My order hasn’t arrived yet.”
- Customer Service: “I can check the tracking number for you. Would you like me to do that?”
Homework:
Write a short story about a time you bought something online. What did you buy? Was it a good experience?
Extra Fun:
Go online and look at some of your favorite websites. Make a list of things you would like to buy if you had the money!
