Lesson 9: All About Me
Learning Objectives:
- Students will be able to write their full name in English (both given name and family name).
- Students will be able to write their age in English.
- Students will be able to write their address in English (optional, depending on their understanding of address formats).
- Students will be able to write other relevant personal details, such as phone number or email address (optional).
Materials:
- Whiteboard or chart paper
- Markers or pens
- Flashcards with personal information vocabulary (name, age, address, phone number, email address, etc.)
- Student information cards or worksheets (see example below)
Procedure:
Part 1: Introduction (5 minutes)
- Greeting: Greet students in Khmer (“Chumreap Suor!”) and briefly review the concept of nouns.
- Introducing Personal Information: Explain that everyone has personal information that helps identify them, such as their name, age, and where they live.
- Vocabulary: Introduce key vocabulary terms using flashcards: name, age, address, phone number, email address. Have students repeat the words after you and explain their meanings.
Part 2: Modeling (10 minutes)
- Teacher’s Information: Write your own personal information on the board as a model, including your full name, age, and address (if appropriate).
- Explanation: Point out the different parts of your name (given name and family name) and explain how to write age correctly in English.

Part 3: Guided Practice (15 minutes)

- Corrections: Gently correct any errors and emphasize the importance of accurate information.
